Wir hatten ein Fahrzeug für den 31.08. 11Uhr angemietet. Da wir eine Fähre kriegen mussten, sind wir bereits um 9Uhr vor Ort gewesen. Am Schalter sagte man uns, dass wir um 10Uhr wiederkommen sollten. Als wir um 10Uhr wieder da waren, sagte man uns, dass wir doch erst um 11Uhr den Wagen bekommen können, könnten jedoch upgraden auf einen Größeren und diesen sofort bekommen. Da wir keine andere Wahl hatten stimmten wir zu.
Der Wagen war leider innen nur sehr oberflächlich gereinigt, in den Türen und Ablagen befanden sich noch Krümel und die Oberflächen von Sitzen und Armaturen waren fettig und klebten. Später stellte sich heraus, dass das Auto einen Defekt des Schließsystems hatte, sodass wir ausgesperrt wurden. Auch hier wurden wir von den Hertz-Standorten in Calgary (4101 Macleod Trail SE und am Flughafen) nur sehr ungenügend unterstützt. Lediglich der Kundenservice hat am Ende den Fehler eingesehen, und wir haben zumindest die Kosten für das Öffnen des Fahrzeugs zurückerhalten.
Insgesamt eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung mit HERTZ und deren Standorte in Kanada.

Ich habe in Kanada ein Auto gemietet. Aufgrund der Straßenverhältnisse wurde mir zu Winterreifen geraten für angebliche 5Can$ pro Tag. Leider habe ich dem Schalterherren vertraut. Abgerechnet wurden 25Can$. Zum Vergleich der Mietpreis des Autos war 84can$. Eine absolute Frechheit. Gebraucht habe ich die Winterreifen nicht. Nie wieder Hertz

Worst car rental! I booked a car through their website and I get a call at the time of pick up that they don’t have any cars available and they’re not able to update their system to prevent anyone from booking. When I try to find other car rentals I still see I’m able to book that car rental. And on asking if they can cancel it from their end, they say they can’t cancel and that I’ll have to cancel it myself. They weren’t even remotely apologetic about it. When I try to cancel, it’s not letting me cancel. I hope I don’t get charged a no-show fee. Of course I’m going to fight that, but this is such a waste of time. Horrible customer service!

Update - they charged me no-show fee! Time to fight it…

Terrible Customer Service and Rude Staff – Avoid This Location!

I had an awful experience at the car rental office at 413 Seymour St, Vancouver. I had a reservation for a car, confirmed for 10:30 AM, and their operating hours were listed as 10 AM to 3:30 PM. Due to circumstances, we arrived at 3:10 PM, well within their posted business hours, but were shocked by the response from the front desk staff, Misha.

Instead of assisting us, Misha rudely informed us that we were late, and they don’t hold cars for more than two hours. I tried to stay calm and asked if they could help figure something out, but their attitude was completely unprofessional. They were not only dismissive but actually told us to leave and said they don’t care about what Expedia (through which I made the booking) had told us.

The complete lack of any effort to help, the rude and disrespectful manner in which we were treated, and the general unhelpfulness of the staff were appalling. They made no attempt to accommodate us or even explain the situation politely.

This was by far the worst customer service I’ve experienced, and it completely ruined our plans for the day. I strongly advise anyone looking to rent a car to avoid this location. If this is how they treat paying customers, I can’t imagine what other problems might arise. Terrible, terrible experience!

I reserved a midsize sedan for $45/day and got a standard size SUV with the same price. Although I had to wait 1.5 hours to get the car due to long queue, the staffs were very polite and hardworking. They kept $350 security deposit which was refunded the next day I returned the car. The key drop off was also very easy. Overall, I am satisfied considering the price.

Worst car rental office I’ve ever dealt with. Very rude staff and unhelpful. You are promised a car and they don’t give you the car you booked. They yell at you over the phone and despite agreements with the manager on a car pick up, the rude staff ignore what was promised and give your car away. The staff member Monica even yelled at a pregnant lady because despite google saying their office closes at 4pm and the Hertz.com website saying their office closes at 4, she said both were wrong and it’s not her problem. She won’t help anyone who arrives at 3:30 because they close at 3:30. And Monica doesn’t care if all internet information is misleading because it is wrong. Never seen such rude customer service.

They dont deserve 1 star. They cancel our booking via expedia without informing us. I read very vad review here and decided to come 5 days in advance to confirm our reservation. They said they cancel it because no car available. It's impossible, we booked very early like 6 months, got a good deal. I think they cancel it cause they dont respect the deal and make it worst, they dont inform Even until 1 day before the trip, expedia still sending confirmartion. Worst Hertz ecer. Avoid it at any cost. Never book here!

Terrible service. Booked a reservation 2.5 weeks in advance and they cancelled less than 24 hours before pick up but they DID NOT call me to let me know. I happen to called 24 hours in advance to confirm. They lied to me and told me they did not know who cancelled the car. I later learned that Hertz cancelled the car as they did not have one available. Talked to the manager & he said he'd call me back. He did not. Horrible business.
