Absolute worst car rental experience. Booked a car for a week rental. We were to pick the car up at 4:00 pm so we arrived at rental office at 3:50 pm and the place was closed! Sign on door said their "Temporary hours" were closing at 4:00 pm. So why even have a 4:00 pm pickup? We knocked on the door and eventually a manager... I guess... came out and said "Sorry, the computers were already turned off for the day".
No offer to help get another car at different location, no help whatsoever. Just sorry, tough outa luck. TERRIBLE!!

Got in a car accident and made the mistake of coming here for a rental. The staff was beyond rude the entire time, acting like they were doing me a favor just by being there. It took a ridiculous hour and a half just to get the car on the first day. Then, thanks to their incompetence with insurance, I had to come back, and they tried to charge my insurance 14 more dollars for the SAME CAR. To top it off, they forced me to transfer vehicles—while I was in the middle of moving out of college with my dorm stuff packed to the brim in the car. Their brilliant solution? Downgrade me to a sedan. Absolutely pathetic. This is hands-down the worst car rental experience of my life. Avoid this place at all costs

I had a rental due to being in an accident for 7 weeks. During this time period my card was charged multiple times because the insurance had failed to extend the rental and I was not informed by hertz before being charged. Mind you the orders were there just unapproved. So instead of calling to let me know so I could sort it out they charged my card MULTIPLE times. It was also hard to get anyone to answer the phone when I would call to find out why my card had been charged. When I was finally able to return the rental I was charged $50 for cleaning because I did not vacuum the car out. That was only thing I did not do. Also the tire light had come on due to a cold snap over night causing slightly low pressure in one tire. I was told to either go out air in the tire or fill out an incident report. For a tire being 29 instead of 32. This has been one do the worst rental experiences I have had. I would not recommend using this rental service at all.

Sandy was the best!! She was friendly and welcoming. She was quick and professional all while being the only person working this morning. Hertz is located conveniently on a busy street. It’s also near a gas station so you can fill up your vehicle. She made it clear upfront, using a credit card there is a $200 hold on top of charges and using a debit card there is a hold $500 plus charges for rental.

Hertz is trying to charge me for 2 days when they refused to send a driver to pick up the car. I called on October 1st to schedule a pickup and was told they don't have a driver available. Which made me have to wait 2 days to return the vehicle. Amanda in the front office is rude and incompetent on her own products and policies. The day after my rental was canceled, I was unaware it was canceled as it was being handled by insurance, they sent me an email stating the rental was approved until October 9th. However, they are still charging me for 2 days. These sketchy and illegal business practices are unacceptable and need to be handled and my money returned. I have and will file and continue to file every complaint in the book until Hertz is held accountable!

Initially upon renting vehicle, they were nice. But after that no courtesy call for reminder for update from insurance since we were in accident. After returning vehicle realized that we left garage door opener on shed flapper, they gave us mary-go-around. Amanda was saying something and taric was saying something else. First they say they have it then upon went to store they saying no they don’t.

I would give a negative 5 stars if I could. Don't waste your time going here. I have had a rental reserved for 3 ½months only to go pick it up the day before I am to leave and they tell me they can't rent to me with a debit card. I have the full amount and more but they didn't want to talk to me anymore because I don't have a credit card. No where did the emails or website say anything about having to have a credit card only. I have always rented a car with my bank card. Well I guess the bright side is I saved money and will never do business with Hertz again.

The most upsetting issue regarding my rental was THE $10.00/ day ADMINISTRATION FEES regarding using TOLLS!! $10.00 per day is shady and shameful business practice. I take responsibility in the fact that I didn't read the fine print on the rental agreement, but I also should have also been verbally notified that these charges would occur should I use toll roads.

Hertz reached out for a survey weeks before I recieved an email regarding said charges and toll fees. (hmm..seems deliberately deceitful)

The other grievences in regards to Hertz's is the customer service. The employee was kind and accommodating, but obviously overwhelmed. She was the ONLY employee there for about 30 minutes; the phones were ringing constantly. The employee did a good job at juggling desk service and phones but again, she could only do so much being the only person there.

I waited over an hour to get a rental after being told there was a vehicle available because Hertz's system was down. One could attribute the last two complaints as bad luck, but however you want to look at it, Hertz has tainted their reputation in my eyes.

I will not be renting from Hertz agian nor recommending Hertz to anyone in need of a rental. Tell me exactly, HOW does bbb have the rating it does for Hertz That's about to change.
