around 1:10 pm, this guy with the weird sunglasses is super unprofessional and costumer service is zero0000, i wish i could've reported him to his manager.
He charged me mistakenly and then didn't respond to my questions and when i asked him to drop off the car he said yes but then unprofessionally refused to accept it.
He waisted my 2 hours of time.
This guy had tons of ego 0 percent costumer service.
I went all the way to Pleasanton a guy named james helped me out with my issue.
I hope his manager reach to me so i can report him.

Booked a mid size car on Expedia and was upgraded to a mustang convertible for a one way rental. Car was not delivered with full gas (a pet peeve of mine since I always try to gas up before returning the vehicle to avoid any undesired charges) and the outside was not washed. Hence the 4 star. However the car inside was clean and we had fun driving the convertible. I had Hertz gold plus and the car delivery was quick when it was my turn. Will rent here again.

Horrible Car Rental Place!!! Will never be renting any vehicles from this location or this company in general. I’ve booked a car for 2 weeks and first off I got charged a deposit of $500 twice!!!! And any additional days added were also charged with a deposit
The customer service is awful, NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONES yet they say they have a “supportive customer service phone number” it really just is a WHOLE SCAM, and suddenly no one at their main offices know anything, suddenly no one knows I purchased a car rental even though my bank statements tell a completely different story!
I have lost over $1,000 dollars in deposit which they “supposedly tell you, you’re deposit IS returned when the vehicle is returned”

As a first time customer of Hertz car rental I will never return. Truly lost and delusional business

Fast check out and check in process. The car was very clean and had zero issues. The staff was polite and responsive to questions. Tracy only has 3 rental companies. This is definitely my 1st choice.

From what I can see, there’s only one person who is normally working the counter so there could be a bit of a wait if you are in a hurry. With that said the man who is working with extremely helpful and kind, he explained the process very smoothly, though I wish I asked a few more questions about certain things that I got up charged on that I cannot undo.

TERRIBLE customer support ... Will NEVER rent again from Hertz!
The above is a summary and here are the details if you are curious.

Rented a car from Hertz on Monday July 1st for two days, Had booked it through Priceline. The total cost was about $87.

On Wednesday (due date for the return) called Hertz to extend it for another day. The customer service told me they are closed on July 4th and I cannot extend only for one day but it has to be for two days, although I do not need the car. No other option was provided

Eventually, I said screw it, extend it for two days and they told me the extra charge (for only two days) is $189 which is more than 2x what I had booked for the first two days.

Did another reservation on Priceline for the same pickup location and the same car type. It was only $77 compared to $189 I was told for an extension.

Called customer service again asking if I can transfer my contract from the existing one to the new one once my current one expires. The customer service said no, it is our policy. You have to return the car, in person sign the paper work for the next contract and then pick up the same exact car.

Asked if it makes sense and she said "does not look like, but the system does not allow us".

So ended up paying ~2.5x of what I should have and is available on their web-site.

This was not the first bad experience I have been having with Hertz and will never ever again rent from them. If anyone is interested to dig deeper into this my contract number is 171431584

In the response to this review, they mentioned Expedia Pre-Purchased, etc.!!! That is wrong! I have a reservation from Hertz at $77 for the exact two days that they charge my $189 for. Not only bad customer service but LIERS too! That is why I posted my contract number for any third party to go an dig in ...

Showed up for my reservation at 12 PM on a Saturday. The employee who was working there was absolutely terrible, cynical and was unwilling to help me. He shook his head and told me they were closed. Worst customer experience ever. He was helping a customer at the time and could have stayed a while longer to help me. I was already there and the employee pretty much laughed at me and walked away from me as I was still talking to him.

I recently rented a car from Hertz Tracy for a Thanksgiving holiday trip to Utah, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I feel compelled to share my concerns to help other potential renters make informed decisions.

The vehicle I was provided with seemed to be well beyond its prime, having accumulated close to 50,000 miles. This high mileage was evident in the overall condition of the car, which left much to be desired. I expected a reliable and well-maintained vehicle for my long journey, but I was sorely disappointed.

The most concerning issue was the poor braking condition of the car. It not only jeopardized my safety but also made the entire driving experience stressful. It is alarming that Hertz Tracy would provide a vehicle in such a compromised state.

Adding to the list of problems, the driver-side window was malfunctioning and would not close properly. This not only affected the climate control inside the car but also raised security concerns during overnight stops.

I must express my disappointment with the lack of quality control and maintenance standards exhibited by Hertz Tracy in this particular rental. For a company of Hertz's reputation, I expected better, and this experience has left a lasting negative impression.

I strongly advise potential renters to thoroughly inspect the vehicle before accepting it, as my experience raises serious questions about Hertz Tracy's commitment to customer safety and satisfaction.
