Das zweite Mal in diesem Jahr erhielten wir an dieser Hertz-Station ein Auto in inakzeptablem Zustand. Innen nicht gereinigt, Windschutzscheibe erneut so schmutzig, dass man nicht durchsehen kann. Kompletter Innenraum mit Spuren des Vormieters. In Zeiten von Corona absolut nicht tragbar.

This Hertz location is one of my absolute favorite. Although the building itself is underwhelming, the quality of cars and friendliness of the employees makes up for it tenfold. They have a large selection of Polestars available for rent for an extremely attractive price. The cars have always been clean, charged, and well maintained, something that is not true across all Hertz locations. The employees, especially Eddy, are very friendly, easygoing, and willing to work with you to meet your needs. Lastly, they recognize customer loyalty, which is important to me.

My experience was terrible. I tried to pick up a prepaid Polstar2 electric car, but it was not there, there was a Tesla model 3 option available and they made me pay an extra $85 for four days. So before I picked up the Tesla I realized it was dirty and my car was cleaned, these are the pictures after car was cleaned. Then I realized that only the left headlight works at night, which is unsafe. I called customer service, drove to the Tampa airport and replaced the car. By the way, I chose a car an hour earlier because the office hours had changed. Then they charge me twice as much for tolls. To sum it up, we can say that there are many shortcomings. A dirty and broken car and does not guarantee the availability of a prepaid car. They don't give you an equivalent car if they don't have a prepaid car and make you pay extra. Not at all satisfied with their service.

I arrived at this Hertz location this afternoon having endured one of the most difficult and stressful weeks of my life. I was met by Eddie whose out of the box thinking ensured I was able to get into a rental today. I greatly appreciate the kindness he bestowed on me. I am forever grateful!

This pace is terrible. It took FEVER to get to the agent after being skipped multiple times only for them to tell me that they ran out of cars. Then the agent trying to tell me that they found a luxury car but I had to pay the difference because they over booked. Their fleet looked terrible with outdated cars. I forgot I had Enterprise Rental Car Emerald account. They were much better and faster. I even told them about what Hertz put me through and the upgraded me to luxury SUV free!

I must express a VERY unfortunate interaction I experienced with a Hertz location manager this morning 10/28/2024. After dropping my Polestar off for service this morning, I was shuttled to the Hertz location across the street. There were two gentlemen working when I arrived. One was on the phone assisting a customer with a refund and the other was assisting a customer at the counter. As I patiently waited for almost 20 minutes, a customer walked in and received service almost instantly. I immediately interjected and stated, “Excuse me I was here first”. Eddie (manager of the location) responded, “He (referring to the other gentlemen who was outside still assisting a customer) has all of the open contracts for Volvo” as if that was an excuse and made it OK.

I replied, “So what you’re saying is that you are unable to help me?”. Eddie gets up from his computer and moves to the other computer started fumbling around and says, “I’m sorry”. I stated, “Not sorry, I’ve been here patiently waiting all of this time and now this lady walks in and she is seen immediately. That is not right and it’s not fair. I don’t need your service I will call an Uber”. Eddie apologized about 2 to 3 more times and I ignored him at this point – damage has already been done.

This was escalated to Mike, the area manager. He explains the customer was returning a car and there were two separate systems. But why does the type of service matter? If he was available and had the time to assist her then he could have treated me the same. And not to mention my time? Is my time not important? I had been sitting there patiently for almost 20 minutes. If I were there first, I should have been assisted first and the type of service should not matter.

Let’s take a moment to consider this fact:

Eddie – White male
Customer – White female
Kimberly – Black female

Hmmmmmmm… Based on Mike’s, the area manager, response, it is obvious to me that Hertz will not take this seriously which means Hertz is taking the position that the actions of Eddie were acceptable – in other words “Hertz is blowing this off”. To Hertz this may be acceptable but it’s not acceptable to me. Plain and simple, I was treated differently and totally disregarded.

The service at the Dale Mabry Highway Hertz location has been subpar. The staff there have been unprofessional and unresponsive to my concerns, which has further impacted my experience.

The behavior of the staff at this facility was unprofessional, careless, and outright disrespectful. Their attitude not only left a bad impression but also reflects poorly on the Hertz brand as a whole. I strongly urge management to evaluate the team at this location, as their actions are damaging the company’s reputation. Basic customer service skills, politeness, and a sense of responsibility seem to be severely lacking, and it’s imperative that these issues are addressed with proper training and oversight.
