Elijah made a hard experience so much better! While waiting for an insurance company to either fix or total a car, Elijah expressed concern for anyone injured and gave us the best rate! He offered a number of vehicles to choose from. We had dealt with another rental location that was not nice. Elijah was very professional and understood our need to extend on a weekly basis. We genuinely considered buying this rental because of Elijah’s matter-of-fact, upfront information, and professional demeanor. We even dealt with Trevor over the phone and he too was very professional and pro-active to give us additional support! So refreshing from what we had experienced elsewhere. We will rent from the Shawnee Hertz location from now on!

Just like everyone else, here. I booked a car online and paid for it. I received my confirmation number, and assumed everything would be fine. I got a call mid day the next day to inform me they were "sold out", and no other Hertz location in my city (Kansas city) had any cars either. When I called customer service I was informed that there are definitely cars available, and I could change my reservation to a different location, but it would cost more money.... Classic bait and switch scum baggery. If they don't want to honor offers they've made online, they shouldn't make them in the first place!

I DID NOT cancel my reservation or ask for a refund. I will show up at the time and location of my confirmed reservation. If they do not have a vehicle ready for me, I will be contacting my state's attorney general, and I encourage everyone else to do the same. Hopefully I don't end up having to hire a car service to drive me to and from the funeral I need to attend. I would definitely expect Hertz to be accountable for the cost if I do. I will post an update with the results.

We rented a car for a trip to KY and there was an issue that came up while on our trip in regards to a low engine oil light that came on. We ended up having the oil checked and we were low and the technician fixed the issue. We returned the car this morning and Elijah the manager was great and credited us the money we had to spend for oil and I am confident that he will address the issue with the oil change company they use. Thank you again for the great customer service.

Vehicle was in the shop and would need to be there overnight. Confirmed a same day rental online. Took an Uber to the location and arrived at my confirmed pickup time and was told there was no cars to rent. I was also told this was my fault for not calling the location to confirm rental. I informed them that I tried calling multiple times with no answer. They then informed me that they were too busy to call to tell me there was no cars available and that I was out of luck. Both the manager “Jared” and front desk clerk were rude and unwilling to help in anyway. This is truly a 1 star establishment and will never use Hertz again because of this experience. Do not recommend and would suggest staying far away from this business.

I have been renting with Hertz all year. I was with a different branch early this year who did not have a good selection of cars, super long wait lines, or the cars were dirty. So I permanently switched to this location due to their AWESOME customer service and selection of cars. I book using the Hertz App with no issues. Every time I rent from them, the cars are very clean and ready when I arrive. They call me by name and there is never a long wait which is greatly appreciated. The rock stars are Elijah and Trevor. The transport guys are really nice too.

My recent experience was the same as the others listed. I had a reservation, which I made months in advance. When I got there - no car available. They might have a couple available in the late afternoon, but there was no guarantee. It was just a too bad so sad attitude, I can't help you. With no help from this location, I made it to the airport location was met with the same attitude, 800# same attitude. I did end up finding one on my own, but due to last minute 3X the price. I doubt I use Hertz ever again.

Two days before Christmas, car reserved and arrived at location only to be told "no cars available with no availability until after Christmas" - to me and at least a dozen other customers. Another frustrated and angry customer reached out to Trevor at the Neiman location who took down the names and numbers of three of us, promising to call back if anything became available. A short time later, after many calls and a few rants to Hertz, Trevor did call. Car was available, on hold for me and he even arranged for his porter to drive me to that location from Crown Center Hilton. I was and will be so grateful to Trevor for his follow up, professionalism, assistance and general wonderful attitude. I encourage anyone in the KC area to patronize the Neiman office - easily accessible from I-35 and a great staff - as I know I will for my KC visits. (Hertz corporate, you owe this location a debt of gratitude for saving at least 3 customers from being *former* Hertz patrons). Thank you, Trevor, for making Christmas 2024 much easier and enjoyable!

Hertz was so helpful in lending me a car while mine was being repaired! It was timely, efficient and easy to get my rental. The gentlemen at this location were friendly, professional and even helped me save some money! Highly recommend using Hertz.
