Wish i could put a negative review but that is not an option. Sorry this is lengthy but feel the need to warn others.
Mental note to self and others do NOT ever deal with Hertz in Hemet, CA......
1. They charge you move even though you prepaid for the car.
2. They will give you an electric car or charge you an upgrade fee.
3. They will not tell you about toll charges until after the fact and say oh they should have told you that when you picked up the car sorry. Thankfully I didn't use any tolls.
4. Was charge $91 more than when I had already prepaid.
5. When I called hertz they only credited the $55 for upgrade but not all the taxes that where applied to the $55 dollars. Because they for dome reason can't credit any taxes. But if you take the $55. Off in reality shouldn't there be any taxes to apply?
6. The agents in hemet are only out to get more money and not customer service. Rudeness in a customer service world do not go together. If you don't like your job get a different one.
7. Won't rent from them again!!!

The Hertz Hemet crew is great. They're friendly, professional, and as fast as they can be. The location can get busy, but they don't waste time. Easy check in and check out, and no high-pressure upsells.

If I could make one improvement, it would be their phone system. It's impossible to talk to someone on the phone. On a recent rental, I left a bag in the rental when I returned the car. I just needed to let them know I was coming back, but was unable to get through the menu tree to just speak to someone. But, that's a Hertz issue, and not an issue with the Hemet branch.

Would not recommend renting from Hertz. The wait times are ridiculously long and they are understaffed. It probably took me at least an hour before i could obtain a rental from the Hemet location. Now I am currently trying to drop my rental off at Classic Collision in Murrieta without having to drive the extra 20-30mins up to the Hemet Hertz location and trying to call to inform them Im leaving the car here. Each time I call Hertz however the phone will ring maybe 5-10times and then the call ends as if someone hung up on me. I also attempted to call the Hertz Temecula location as well and managed to het ahold of someone but ended up being put on hold for about 15mins until they closed with no answer. Now I have to worry about being charged an extra day on my rental.

Next time I definitely will be going through Enterprise instead. Apparently the Collision shop has an online portal where they can input information directly regarding your car rental.

The guy is nice, can't tell of he's lying to me or not about their inventory. Says that most of his vehicles are for Uber rentals, not sure what this means. I'm a Presidents Circle member and they had no cars the size I reserved, he said as a member I get a free upgrade to the next class, where they only had an electric vehicle. I walked into this place wanting anything but an electric vehicle. He said that's all he had and I would need to pay extra to go to the next class up for a bigger SUV.

All I wanted was a gas car, which is what I paid for! He was not accommodating at all and the selection was horrendous.

Do not go here.

Letty and her crew are amazing. I'm a gold member as well as a repeat customer because of the service I receive while renting from them. I make my reservations online and Letty and her crew at this location, take it from there. This is the best rental car place in the area period. The cars are nicer and newer, which help with a carefree trip.

I never rented a car from a place that lacked communication and was able to terminate renting a car based on my 1st amendment rights while on a personal face time call with a loved one.

I spoke with Jake off and on for over a week making sure I would have EVERYTHING I needed for an insurance rental.

He Texted morning of @9 I called right before arriving a lil after 11. Didn’t want speak walked right past but I knew his voice. So the guy who helped “lil midget” since that’s what he said I called him to cause him cancel the car.
Had full story of we can’t rent to you
1. Had No cars
2. Not sure if u can even take the rental
3. Even if I paid the insurance I couldn’t get it because what if AAA didn’t pay. It’s an insurance claim they sent it over. Jake didn’t want help now they’re both like well idk.

At this point the store is full, people are mad and leaving. My child who’s non verbal is having episodes I just wanted to leave . It didn’t make sense . Even A man with a 10:30 appt. was still there around 1:30 smh.

They didn’t want me take the car in the first place and it showed but after being there until 1:40pm. He literally canceled the car after running my card, printing papers, and taking pictures. He locked my child carseat in the rental with her shoes. Then threaten to call the cops because now I’m pissed all those hours wasted, over a grown man’s personal feelings ( and we wasn’t even talking about him) and violation of my freedom of speech because I guess I can’t say what I want around him to someone else. The games people play when running someone else business.

Pictures show communication and I have voicemails as well. So again how didn’t you not have cars and know who was paying for the rental.

It took over an hour to get a rental and at one point there was no one in the front for 30 minutes so I couldn’t ask how much longer. I was told it was gonna take about 15 minutes…. Idk if someone called off or something but you guys need more employees. Another thing i haven’t liked personally is that when you call theres a ton of options and when you finally find the option to talk to a local operator it dials and then it goes back to the same first questions and if you dont press a number it hangs up on you…. Oh also all the other car rental places you go and watch them take pictures and point out something you see on the car if you see anything. I asked if i could check it out with them cause that’ll make me feel better knowing that they know if there was something was already there…. And they told me no. Im pretty sure he didnt mean it like that and it was more of a tou dont have to we got you but i was already upset cause of how long i had been waiting.

I've been using Hertz to rent cars for a long time. I've spent a lot of money to these guys haha, but Hemet Hertz is at the top of the list. I know nearly everyone. To mention a few, Jake, Aerial, and Darius. I haven't seen Darius, but I did business with Jake and Aerial frequently while I was there. Jake is the ideal guy to run the store because he is meticulous and well-organized. He never forgets about you, even while he is busy. You only need to be patient, and he or Aerial will get to you quickly. These people are both professional and friendly. I appreciate how everyone can connect to my life because we are all in a same boat as a family man, and it's helpful to have people to talk to. I know that these guys aren't therapists, but they always make me feel welcome and kind. I believe that all businesses should have a personal environment, especially in this day and age where no one cares about anyone. I hope Hemet Hertz continued with success and thank you for hiring professionals such as Jake, Aerial, and Darius. Thank you for your years of excellent business. I will definitely recommend Hemet Hertz to anyone in need of a rental car. You guys are fantastic!
