Rented from Camp Bowie twice for business in the last few weeks. . The first time I arrived 20 minutes early from my rental time and they would not let me have my rental. I waited and was given a car that had been sitting in the parking lot. The car was dirty inside and out. The second rental was this past Monday. I had reserved a truck for noon. I arrived at noon and was told they have the truck but the oil is being changed and it would be there in 15 minutes. An hour later the truck arrived. It had not been cleaned inside or out, there was metal in the bed of the truck (which we had to unload before our trip), sticky stuff on the center console and in the cup holders, the seats and cloth were filthy. The car was not full of gas and not noted to me by the representative. There was a dent and scratches on the front driver bumper on the corner that looked like the last renter had been hit or hit something. The truck looked as if it were someone’s personal vehicle. We have been renting from Hertz for over 15 years and Presidents Circle, so I have rented many cars from many stores with never this kind of treatment or issues. The employees are kind but make excuses. This office needs some serious attention and immediate training. Unfortunately this is one of the only hertz rental stores near me or I would switch. A complaint was made a few weeks ago but no call or reply from headquarters.

First and foremost, The representative Gracie was amazing and very helpful. The location is poorly managed and needs a boost in morale.
Picked up a car to rent for Uber. Originally went in for an EV, but they didn't have a key for one and the other was at 7%. I would of rolled the dice with the 7%, but the stains in the back seat deterred me from that.
Gracie was awesome finding me a comfort eligible car. A 2021 Ford escape. Not only was it dirty, but yet cleaner than all the other vehicles she showed me, but it had a damaged door catch. It did have some normal wear and tear marks all over, but not terrible. I proceeded inside and had her view the damage and such and asked about stating damage before taking it, but she advised me that her "QC" machine was broke. She also advised me not to worry about it because I was bringing it back to her.
Finally I left to head home to clean the vehicle and on the highway, it was shaking badly. So I slow boated to my town and had a local guy balance the tires for me. I'm out $40 on top of the $317 a week. At least I can work while my cars getting repaired.

The rep was nice, but someone needs to pay attention to how they run this location. Embarassing and infuriating are words that come to mind.

We waited an hour and a half for a car because one person was working and completely overwhelmed. We finally got a Malibu that smelled like pee. I'm literally writing this from the pee-smelling car.

Might be time for the owner to think about a different business, because this ain't it.

Edit: They gave us the vehicle with a half of a tank of gas. I'm looking forward to chatting with Hertz on the phone to get this absolute cluster rectified.

Website doesn't work and neither does the phone number. Lost 2 customers today. My partner and I are both traveling separately for 2 weeks and we will have to go with enterprise because we can't get a hold of anyone.

Edit --- Car smelled like cigarettes and was so nasty inside and out. My boyfriend drove with a tire about to blow out and hertz said there was nothing they can do. Do not recommend simply for your safety!

As you can see, Hertz replied to my review but that is all they did. Haven’t heard anything else. No email, no phone call, no text, and NO RESOLUTION to my problem. I stand firm in my review of this terrible company.

The worst rental car experience in 40 years. I made a reservation for a TESLA before I arrived and paid the reservation in full. Once I arrived I waited for over 2 HOURS to even get to the counter. There was literally one person in the building serving every customers. Once I get to the counter they tell me that they don’t even have a TESLA but can get me in a Chevy Malibu for the same price…really?!? I ended up cancelling my reservation and getting a different car for less. That whole process took another 2 HOURS!

After turning in the vehicle on a Saturday at 9:30 a.m., the same one guy was working and of course the wait was forever. I handed him the keys and I left. I then get a bill a few weeks later stating the car wasn’t checked in until Monday morning. I of course argued this fact and Hertz told me that the location was closed on Saturdays and I am responsible for the rental until the next business day. Of course the location wasn’t closed on Saturday because I walked into the building full of customers and handed the keys to an employee!! I still can’t get a response or refund from Hertz after a week! In addition to all that, Hertz tried to charge me a no show fee for the original TESLA rental. They didn’t try, they did! Luckily I reached out to my credit card company and got this FRAUDULENT charge removed.

All in all, I would never use Hertz or this location ever again!! Such a waste of time and money! Go elsewhere if you don’t want to be dealing with Hertz months after a simple car rental!!!

My experience with Roshae was the TOP of Top Tier service. I arrived for a scheduled pick up for an UBER rental and she was completing service with another customer. The same stellar she extended to the customer before me is what I received. Her willingness to go above and beyond for the customer and energy combined with her clear love for what she does was extremely refreshing after reading the reviews for this location. Her goal was to make sure I was a satisfied customer when I left there and felt secure in the experience as a whole and she achieved that and more. This was the most painless car rental process I have ever experienced.

YOU ARE THE BEST AT WHAT YOU DO!!!!!!

Just an FYI if you are looking for a regular HERTZ rental, this location does not do those anymore and that is not on the fault of Roshae who is there ONLY to handle Uber rentals so don't leave a bad review based on options that are not actually available but instead base it on the actual service that you receive.

This is the second time renting from a Hertz, NEVER AGAIN!! Bad experience both times! The staff is RUDE and snippy. DO NOT USE CAMP BOWIE LOCATION! The guy told us he would have the rental ready in 15 minutes. OVER an hour later it was “ready” just to receive this mess! The trunk was wet and WE had to use our shop vac to get it as dry as possible. Now we got the rental after 4:00 but the guy at the desk processed the payment and paperwork well before 3:30. He implied he tried to text and call me to notify that our rental requires a credit card for payment and deposit. Even though I called another location who said we can use a credit card for a $200 deposit or debit for a $500 deposit. After saying that he said with attitude “do you have a credit card” not saying anything about the debit card deposit. All while we are in the process of trying to get to a funeral and have to deal with such an avoidable situation. I wouldn’t even give this location a star but they don’t offer negative stars.oh and they even offer vans with shoe prints on the hood.*being sarcastic * also had to get gas when we left.

Still a one star operation. Went to swap out a vehicle that had ongoing sensor issues. Was placed in a car that had just been picked up from getting an oil change. Completely filthy like my first rental. Still has the last drivers belongings… tons of air fresheners. It smells, like feces. I noticed that the tire had a screw in it. Hertz sent ME to get the tire changed. Pep Boys did not have a tire for this vehicle and are having to order it. I’m being told to bring the vehicle back once the tire has arrived this weekend.

The conditions of the vehicle at pick up directly impact an Uber drivers experience. I took back a cleaned vehicle. The one I was placed in needs a deep cleaning, that I am now tasked with. The time and money that a driver has to spend to bring the vehicles to drive ready. should be reimbursed by Hertz.

Hours later, this car has stalled out while I’m driving. Literally shut off at a red light. Having to wait for a tow to take me to DFW for a replacement vehicle that I can not Uber in. I have to wait until Monday for this location to open. Officially three days of no income due to this location.
