I have been experiencing a life changing moment and renting with this location has allowed ease and comfort. I appreciate the cleanliness of the vehicles I’ve had so far. 10/10 #fellowgem

This is apparently a joint Hertz & Thrifty car location. Had a confirmed reservation through Expedia. They had no cars, couldn't really explain why cars could be booked if they weren't available. Called the 800 number for me. They told me the next closest car was O'Hare - but it was my responsibility to get there. Alternative was that they would cancel the reservation and not charge me. I'm not sure why they thought this was doing me a favor. Really disappointing. And I should have checked the reviews before I booked. So many Owner replies of "We're sorry you didn't have..."

I would give zero if I could. My car was vandalized. My insurance company sent my reservation to this Hertz location. They contacted me about when I would need the car. I was going out of the country for a week but I scheduled my car for October 26. When I called in the morning to make sure I had a car, the person I spoke with told me that they didn't have a car for me. He was extremely rude. I told him that I had a reservation but he didn't care. I asked for a manager, and he said that he was the manager. His suggestion, call other Hertz to see if there was a car available somewhere else. How is it my fault that they had a car for me then all of a sudden, there wasn't one available on that day. I call that horrible customer service. Besides being so rude and dismissive, he didn't offer any other options or support. I don't even know why my insurance company deals with this foolishness. Now, I am back and without a car on a Saturday. Most rental shops close at noon on Saturday and aren't open on Sunday. I have no idea how I'm getting to work on Monday. This Hertz doesn't care!

Very easy and efficient to use online which I really appreciate. I wanted to give a special thanks to Andrew, who helped me throughout my rental with any and every question I had with even extending my reservation. He was very courteous and helpful. After having such a great experience, I went back for another reservation, and didn’t have the same experience. This time the customer service rep was very impatient, and was so busy refused to hear my concerns. When I asked to speak to a manager I was declined. I just walked out without fulfilling my reservation. I guess it’s just an hit or miss, Although I had a pleasant experience initially based on this time I will not be returning.

I rented a car for the first time here. I have traditionally rented with Enterprise but I am a Founders Card member and Hertz is a partner company so I decided to give them a try. Worst customer experience ever. I reserved a small car because it was just me not traveling very far and I didn’t need anything more. I arrived to pick up my car and they told me they didn’t have any cars in that class and I would need to pay extra for an upgrade. I didn’t need or want an upgrade. This was essentially a forced upgrade so that I would pay more. This is completely unethical. I needed a car and what choice did I have? What was really frustrating was that the agent kept telling me I had a choice. I didn’t. I needed a car and it was too late to look elsewhere. If they had let me know they didn’t have the car I reserved I could have made alternative arrangements. I didn’t look at reviews for this place before I rented, I just thought I’m renting through a FoundersCard partner so I can expect them to be professional. Duh! This was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. When I pushed back and said that the fact that they didn’t have the car I reserved was not my problem, that was theirs and the needed to honor my reservation I was told that would get them in trouble but clearly I didn’t care about them getting in trouble! What? There are plenty of options when it comes to car rental. I will never choose Hertz again.

In response to the response from Hertz, the issue was not that the car I had reserved was not available. The issue was that because a car was not available in that class I was FORCED to pay extra for an upgrade I did not want or need. Please read the post. I totally understand that cars may not be available for a multitude of reasons, that is not the issue. The issue was that I should have been provided with a car at no additional cost as I did not want a larger car, I just needed a car and it was too late to go elsewhere.

Super bad experience. My girlfriend rented a car days ahead. it was on a Sunday and when she went there, the car she wanted was not available (economy) and instead of giving her any available car (that they mostly do) just try to trick her into pay extra for another car on Sunday when there is no other place is open and even tell her to go to airport to get economy car. Such waste of time. We could have gone to other companies ... And also being a GOLD member meant nothing to these people. They made us to pay for extra eventually. Not acceptable, not honest and professional. Never get back there again. Screw the GOLD membership....

Put zero faith in what they told you. I was scheduled to be picked up and the pickup never showed up, and I had to Uber my way there. Waited one hour and a half just to get a dirty car 30minutes late with their explanation: we don’t clean cars in the evening. How is that supposed to be my problem? Will not put up with this. Waste of money and energy.

To follow up. Because of the complaint I thought I got a clean car, but no I got a broken car. The back window brushes are not working and the second time I start the car the tire warning popped up. I ended up getting a flat tire and had to pay extra 80 to get roadside assistance.

There is one employee for the whole office, I’m not complaining. I would like to give the gentleman my compliments. He is doing an awesome job!!!
