Chardonnay "Branch Manager" - Hertz you should be ashamed by allowing this person to continue to work for you, especially after reading the same reviews about this person. ABSOLUTELY NO customer service skills. Like a review before, she stated “I am not going back and forth with you” and HUNG UP on me. No offer to help with a solution, definitely no problem solving skills as any manager should have. She had no care in the world, as if i called to purposely bother that person. all she had to do is offer to help. Danielle at the Jones Rd location quickly stepped in and took care of immediately. She was very gracious and a lovely to talk to. AVOID Cypress location, you'll thank me and the others that have wared you. Go see Danielle, even if your reservation is with Cypress location, just go to the Jones Rd location and be taken care of as you deserve to be.

This was a horrible experience and the manager Chardonnay was very rude and unprofessional. I came to return the car and no one was there. It was about five confused people waiting outside around 10:30am during working hours. I called to figure out how to return the car and then she explained to me what to do. Then, I explained that I have had a horrible experience and concerns that I would like addressed. She responded that “she couldn’t do anything” so I asked her “How do you know that if you haven’t even bothered to ask me what my concerns are?”

She then said “I am not going back and forth with you” and HUNG UP on me after I asked for her name which she never told me. She never bothered to ask what my concerns were!! WOW! I am in the process of escalating the concerns because this location is going downhill with this lady. If you are unhappy or cannot work in customer service then please find something that is good for you. Do not bring your personal issues to work in a professional setting.

FOLLOW-UP

I went back in to the location after filing my complaint to confirm the receipt of the car keys that she instructed me to leave in the car. I did not feel comfortable leaving them because I didn't want to be held liable if someone stole the car. I waited in line with my 7 year old daughter and she threaten to call the police because she lied and said I yelled at her on the phone and I called her too much harassing her (I did call 6 times because no one picked up). How could I not come to the location directly if she never answered any of my questions about my financial obligation to the vehicle? I asked her simply if she could confirm a "Yes or no on whether or not she received the keys?" She refused to answer and then said as a spouse she could not talk to me (after talking to me previously). According to Hertz customer service, I did have rights to discuss the reservation as spouse. I have never been so disrespected in my life and we have traveled all around the world. I highly suggest discriminatory and professional training for Chardonay and I do not recommend due to the customer service.

Terrible customer service. I was sent here to get a rental when dealership had to keep my vehicle overnight. Closed at 5:30p. Oil light comes on at 6p. Can’t contact them to see if I need to get oil changed or not and I work at 7a the following morning downtown and they don’t open til 8a. I went ahead and got oil changed. Refuse to reimburse me because of their lack of resetting the oil life on the vehicle. Called them in the morning to express my frustration. They insisted they would call me back later in the day. To let me know about the reimbursement. Never did I had to call them before they closed to get the information I needed.

I have called numerous times with no response and there was no one on the property around 10:50am on 6/19/24. After 6 calls, Chardonae picked up the phone and informed us that she is unable to give me information about how the deposit works and told me that "I am harassing her by calling". She continued to speak and would not let me get ONE WORD out and refused to confirm my total amount and explain how the deposit works. In addition, she lied and said that we screamed at her on the phone and she would call the police if we came on the property. Untrue but I believe this was said as a way for her to keep her job with the numerous complaints that she has. She did give me the (1800) number and instructed me to file a formal complaint about her unprofessional behavior. After reading all the other reviews, I see that I AM NOT ALONE! She is very unprofessional and ended the call without informing me about any of my financial obligation or to confirm my total....then HUNG UP! I plan on definitely filing a complaint with HERTZ because employees like this bring down companies and she is a disgrace to customer service!

I will NEVER rent another car from this Hertz! I rented a car while my truck was in the shop for 3 days at $ 110.00 I had to add another day because my truck wasn't ready and the extra day was $ 114.00 so the additional day ended up being more than what i agreed to originally. They'll stick it to you when they have the chance!!!!!!!

NEVER RENT FROM THIS LOCATION! I rented a car to drive to my hometown for Thanksgiving. First of all, the car was FLITHY and the windshield had been struck my a pebble and you could tell that it was not repaired to prevent the spreading of the crack. On the way to Chicago, I get a notification that the windshield washer fluid is low. Annoyed, but no biggie. I'm driving back to Cypress and I get a notification light on the dash saying engine oil low. I'm approximately 14 hours away from my destination. So I check the percentage, it says 5%. Yes, 5%. Why wouldn't they check this before they rented the car? I went to the nearest Auto Zone en route to try to add oil. I checked the oil stick and it was crud in the oil stick once I wiped it and dipped it back in the tube, literally no oil. The people at Autozone told me that adding oil would not work, I would need to get an oil change. Getting an oil change on a vehicle that does not belong to me shouldn't be my responsibility. The closest Jiffy Lube, 5 Min Oil Change, and Walmart Auto Center were all closed. Now I'm forced to attempt to drive 14 hours back to Cypress. I will be in contact with corporate because this is unacceptable and very unprofessional. It's not like I was a walk-in wanting a car on the spot. I made the reservation well over a month in advance. Looking at the other poor reviews, I'm surprised this location isn't under some type of investigation. But like I said before, corporate will be hearing from me. I'm pretty sure the positive reviews on this location is fake because it is far from the truth.
