Well, it’s apparently clear that the Hertz Corporation doesn’t care about their business on Harrison St. in Beaumont. So I’m not going to waste my time or energy telling about my terrible experience. I will say that I will never do business with this company again. I will also say that in my opinion they do not deserve the one star they received. They are rude and their customer service is horrible. After my experience I read through the reviews, which I should have read before, I could have saved myself a lot of aggravation. They can’t even give a sincere apology, it’s basically a stock reply. It takes a lot for me to say I will never do business with a company again but my Hertz experience was enough. If you want to rent a car I would suggest the go to Jefferson County Airport in Nederland. The Budget Rental there is awesome. The gentleman at Budget was friendly and accommodating. His customer service was great. He made my Budget experience stress free.
I don’t know why Hertz’s doesn’t shut the doors on Harrison St. it wouldn’t be missed.

Rented a car and day ahead, on the day I was to pick up the car nobody would answer the phone. After 20 minutes I called Enterprise...they answered the phone and picked me up...use Enterprise.

This is a very horrible place. I sat in my car and called 3 times and watched them pick the phone up and hang it up. That's just rude and lazy. They do not deserve to work if they will handle customers like that. You need to fire everyone including the management. Poor management, poor employees. This is the worst rental location in SETX!

Office personnel "accidently" keyed in wrong number causing a $150 charge to my credit card. They did nothing to fix mistake except giving me nothing but the "runaround". They didn't offer a receipt or rental agreement and that left me no evidence to provide to my credit card to dispute the charges. When calling, the phone prompts are difficult to reach someone live. It was a terrible experience and I just want to warn people that renting from the Beaumont branch on Harrison to be aware. Finally got thru to someone there who was somewhat rude to me. I did speak to branch manager who promised to help if the rental agreement could be found. It seems as though there is new personnel now so I'm hoping the previous crew was let go. Corporate says they only retain rental agreements for 6 months so keep that in mind. I've been trying for 7 months for a refund. Seems like a good way for a big corporation to get free money from those who don't know, even when their local branches admit it was a mistake on their part.

Horrible experience with them. We had a reservation for a car pick up to drive to Houston the next day. They let us know AT the pick-up centre that they don’t do one-way trips from Beaumont anymore? Well then why was I even allowed to make that reservation? And WHY was I not informed of this in time? Completely offset all our travel plans. Thank god for Enterprise that saved the day. Still can’t believe this wasn’t communicated or handled appropriately.

GO TO ENTERPRISE INSTEAD!

I booked a rental on Harrison in Beaumont Texas. When we picked the car up it was filthy (I made a video and pictures) due to the unbelievable filth.and the manager (Caleb gray) stated that they no longer clean the cars due to the city code. He stated that he did vacuum the inside and that mainly that's all he had time for The car was white but had tons of dead bugs, the front wind shield had dust and dead bugs and a brownish clay dirt all around the side to include doors and back window. I was dropped off and had to take the car. I left and was 15 minutes out and the service light came on so I thought maybe this is why the car was so filthy maybe it had been out of commission in a shop or warehouse. I called him back and he stated ooh it's nothing I forgot to tell you that they changed the oil and didn't reset it. I called hertz 1800 number and asked did they have a new city code which the customers have to wash the cars upon pick up and they knew nothing about a city code. I called him back and informed the manager that I could not find anyone to clean the car and could he please change it to another car he then stated well just bring it back at 1030 tomorrow and I'll have time to switch it with another car for you. I came back as he instructed at1030 am which he stated I don't have one come back later or I'll call you in a hour. He never called I came back at 2 he the stated well I have to go pick it up from Firestone. I waited in hertz parking lot for 1 hour and had to leave. I called enterprise who helped me tremendously and was able to rent a car that was drivable and not filthy. I took the filthy car back and was charged a day with a 200 dollar hold on my card. A total waste of my money with no care in the world from the hertz manager on Harrison in beaumont texas. I wasted my money and the customer service was horrible!! The manager was Caleb gray he could care less and told a straight lie saying that they can no longer wash the cars or clean them off even after I said why would the company allow you to give a filthy car like that to any customer.
