Hertz - Service at Highland park is pathetic. The employee - April doesn’t know how to talk to customers. She was rude and dint care to answer the questions. Upon asking for her manager so that I can complain - She simply hung up on me.

No wonder why they have such low google ratings.

Does what it says on the box. Rent cars there! Which they did. Little customer engagement which doesn’t help. There’s also a big health warning about charges for returning a vehicle dirty with a hefty fine to pay. Convenient location and car was first class and returned spotless.

This is the WORST place ever! I rented a car and paid in full a week in advance from this branch. Three days later, the manager called and said he doesn't have the car, so the reservation is canceled. He did not offer anything instead. I asked for a refund, but he said he will try to get in touch with customer service, and email them. More than a day after that, I was still getting emails from Hertz as if I'm still renting the car. I tried calling him 4 times and left a message, but no response. I called customer service, but they kept me on hold for 30 minutes at a time, so I gave up. Eventually I went to the office, to talk to the manager, but he refused to help saying "I can't do anything about it". He basically refused to move a finger to help me get my money back, saying that I need to call customer service. So now I'm without a car for the weekend and without my money back. Hertz will NEVER be a company I'd consider!!! The worst branch EVER, with a manager who has a disgusting attitude!!!
BTW, I'm forced to give it one star, otherwise I can't send the review. In reality, I would not give it even 0.1 of a star!!!

I paid in full for my reservation, but they canceled my order and refused to refund me. This also led to additional expenses for me. It's really unfair to consumers!
We booked a Model 3 for two days in advance through the Hertz official website, as our car was rear-ended and needed repairs. When we arrived at the store on April 9th to pick up the car, we were informed that there were no cars available for us. This was completely unacceptable as we had also scheduled to have our own car serviced that day. Not having a car would disrupt all our plans! We explained our situation and requested a Tesla because our own car is a Tesla, but the branch manager displayed racial discrimination, stating that there were no cars available and refusing to offer an upgrade to another model. They could only offer to cancel our reservation. However, we had already paid in full! Moreover, two days in advance, the availability of this model at the store should have been very clear. If it wasn't available, why list it on the official website for customers to book?Due to the dishonest attitude of this store, we had no choice but to cancel our reservation and drive to Chicago to rent a car on the spot. However, because we rented the car on the same day, the price was already higher than if we had booked in advance, resulting in us having to rent at a premium.

Overall great experience, the car was ready when we came, the store is nice and clean. The staff member at the counter was very quick and helpful. Highly recommend the great service at this Hertz Local Edition!

I rented a car from Hertz under the assurance from associates that I would receive a refund if the car was returned early. I returned the car one week early (didnt need it anymore), expecting a refund for the unused time. However, Hertz refused to issue the refund, citing their prepaid rate Terms and Conditions. Shockingly (sarcasm), the no-refund policy was buried within these terms, not clearly disclosed during the booking process or on the receipt. My experience with Hertz has been deeply disappointing, and I advise others to steer clear if they expect honesty and fair treatment in their transactions.

I had a reservation booked and confirmed at this place and showed up and said there were three other reservations for the same car and I would have to wait to see if the other appointments no showed. If you need to rely on your reservation and need a car, I would steer clear from this place.

When I rented the car, the tire pressure light came on immediately. I returned to Hertz. The employee put air "in all the tires" (he said) and told me not to worry about the light--it would stay on for a while and then turn off. It was not off the next day, so I stopped at another Hertz dealership on the road. I had checked the pressure myself, but the light was still on. This next employee told me not to worry and manually turned off the light. The tire exploded on me twenty miles later while I was traveling on the highway. In both cases, I should have been given a new car once the light did not turn off. I spoke to Hertz about it and asked for a refund, but they refused. Awful.
