Beautiful short walk -1/4mi to the shore of the river, there are places every so often alongside the trail up from the parking lot to walk to the shore again. Trail and shore looked beautiful and clean.

Perfect place to go for a swim. I wouldn't recommend it though because the water in big chico creek can be quite polluted

Bidwell Park Parking Area H is the foremost parking area in the entire park, upper or lower. With ample room for numerous vehicles of various classifications, one can be sure they can find a spot in here. The bumps on the way in out of here can be a bit discouraging, and if you drive something without some decent shocks you may find yourself lamenting the effort to park in this upper echelon lot. But if you can manage to zig and zag around the bumps and dips you may find that it was both worth the effort and satisfying in a way you didn't realize a parking job could be. It's that good of a lot. Some may say that the parking lot up at bear hole is a far superior lot, both in quality and quantity of cars squeezed in, but they wouldn't know what they're talking about. Others may insist that the lot at horseshoe lake is the worthiest of lots in the bunch but, again, rubbish. It's Bidwell Park Parking Area H that checks all the boxes when wanting to park with ample space, breathtaking views, and quality people in the spot next to you. May your next parking job be in this elite lot. It's quite honestly the most majesterial lot this side of Bruce Rd.
